Working in Public

So I created this blog so I could document and let people know what I was learning in public. I have been really bad at this as I wanted it to be high quality content. I forgot the most important part, talking about what I am doing and learning as I am doing it. So this changes from now on.

What have I been up to? I started the year by diving into everything related to AI. Coming hot off the heels of Jason Haddix’s attacking AI course, this was super fun and interesting. I started using AI for coding, personal management, and more. However, I struggled to figure out how to apply all this AI technology to my own needs. So, I decided to return to my roots and organize some things that have been irritating me.

I have a HomeLab, Electronics Lab, and 3d Printing Lab. I do not know what I own or what I am currently working on. So I am having Claude develop some home management web apps for me to make my life easier. I created a Print queue application, so my family can send me things to 3d print. I created a parts Library of all the electronics parts I own and what bins or locations they are stored in, and a filament tracker (I own more filament than I thought). I also made a project management application that needs refinement before I use it. I am still thinking of things to create. Listening to Daniel Miessler and his content, he talks about thinking of ways to interface AI with your life using APIs. So I started thinking about what kinds of API-like things I would want in my life. Right now, it is hobby-related, but what else would I like to track and give AI access to?
